3 Beautiful Dua for Happiness

Reading Time: 5 minutes

There’s not absolute definition of happiness. It means different to everyone. But to speak simply, it’s a good or positive feeling about something existent in your present, past or future. For example, a good memory, loved one, vision, goal, dream position, or anything thinking about or acquiring which will make you feel good, satisfied or fulfilled.

We want to be happy and Allah Almighty kept this urge for happiness within our souls. Below are 3 beautiful dua for happiness that you need to know ASAP!

3 Beautiful Dua for Happiness:

1. Dua for Real Happiness

Real happiness is about having goodness in life. Because, sometimes what we desire isn’t really what’s best for us. It’s easy to believe that getting everything we want and love will make us happy, but in reality, it only brings us temporary joy that can eventually leave us feeling unfulfilled.

Let’s take a scenario, shall we? imagine getting married to your favourite person. The thought itself brings a smile to your face, right? You feel excited, and your heart flutters with love.

Now, fast forward five years down the line, and you have kids with your partner. But your rose-colored glasses have come off, as you realized that your partner’s toxic habits, careless behavior, or lack of moral support have darkened the lively person in you. Does it feel good anymore? What if In the worst scenario, you’re the victim of domestic abuse or being cheated on, which eventually is creating big family issues and ugly routine fights?

How does it make you feel now? You never wanted to be in this position, but wondered marrying your favorite person would bring you real happiness.

Let’s imagine another scenario. Picture yourself in your dream job with a seven-figure salary – something you’ve always prayed for. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it? You’re feeling over the moon with happiness! But what if that job and status turned you into a boastful, heartless, and self-obsessed person who treats others poorly? What if, on the Day of Judgment, you’re answerable for these actions? Would it have been better to start with a smaller job and focus on being a good person?

Take an example of something as small as a chocolate bar. Every time you crave, you get a chocolate bar. So, you’re happy with life. But, deep down you’ve developed unhealthy eating habits and gained lots of weight that could cause serious obesity issues, and lands you in a hospital.

What you think is happiness is sometimes a spiral towards disaster. Real happiness keeps you content, fulfilled and satisfied for a lifetime, apart from the slight ups and downs which come naturally to improve us. That’s why one should always ask Allah almighty for goodness in life. Allah knows your entire story / destiny. He knows what could not just keep you happy, but also healthy and satisfied for an entire life. So, always ask for goodness. The following dua will just do that for you, insha’Allah.

According to Sahih al Bukhari (6389), This is the most recited dua of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
